Badam shake or badam milkshake recipe is made with soaked almond, milk, sugar, and custard powder. This almond custard milkshake is very rich in flavour. The combination of almond and custard powder makes this beverage very thick and creamy.

Ingredients


10-12 almonds

2 ½ glass of full-fat milk (approximately 750 ml)

5 teaspoon sugar or as per your taste

2 teaspoon custard powder

¼ teaspoon cardamom powder

Pinch of saffron (optional)

1 teaspoon chopped pistachio

Preparation


1. Soak 10- 12 almonds in water for 4-5 hours or overnight.

2. After 5 hours, peel the almond and add it into the grinding jar along with ¼ cup of milk.

3. Make a fine, smooth paste.


How to make Badam Shake


1. In a thick bottom kadhai, boil 2 ½ glass of milk.

2. When the milk start to boil, lower the flame to medium and keep stirring the milk.

3. Boil the milk until it is reduced to a quarter. Also scrape the milk solids from the sides of the pan.

4. After that, add almond paste and stir continuously.

5. Also, add ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder and a pinch of saffron. Mix everything very well.

6. Further, add 5 teaspoons of sugar and stir. You can add sugar as per your taste.

7. Meanwhile, take ½ cup milk in a bowl and add 2 teaspoon custard powder to it. Make sure the milk is at room temperature.

8. Mix it and make a lumps-free batter.

9. Turn the flame on low and pour the custard powder paste into the milk.

10. Stir quickly and continuously to prevent lumps.

11. After 5-7 minutes, turn off the flame and let the milk cool down at room temperature, and then refrigerate the badam shake for 4-5 hours.

12. Serve badam shake chilled, topped with some pistachio.

Suggestion


1. Use full-fat milk to make badam shake.

2. You can add chopped cashew and pistachio to it.

3. Grind the almond very fine.

4. You can add vanilla ice cream to it.

5. Also, you can add ice cubes while serving the badam shake.

6. You can also serve this badam shake hot or warm.
