Beetroot Sabzi Recipe

Ingredients


2 medium-sized Beetroot, 1 small sized onion, 1 small sized tomato, 2 green chilies, 1 tsp ginger garlic paste, 1 tsp cumin seeds ( jeera), 1 tsp sesame seeds, 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp grated or crushed jaggery, Salt as per test


Beetroot Sabzi Recipe


Preparation


1. Take 2 medium-sized beetroots, wash them very well in water.

2. Add 3 cups of water in pressure cooker, add beetroot and let it cook for at least 2 to 3 whistles.

3. Remove the beetroot from water and peel and cut them finely.


How to Make Beetroot Sabzi


1. Place the kadhai or pan on gas stove and heat with 2 tbsp of oil. 

2. Now add 1 tsp cumin, 2 finely chopped chilies, and fry them for a couple of minutes. Then Add 1 chopped onion and sauté the onions until it gets cooked.

3. Add 1 small finely chopped tomato and fry them for 2-3 minutes. Stir well.

4. Now add 1 tsp ginger garlic paste and sauté it.

5. Add 1 tbsp sesame seeds and ¾ tsp of Haldi (turmeric) powder, and  chopped beetroot pieces. Mix them well and sauté for 3-4 minutes.

6. Now add ¾ cup of water in it and cover the pan with lead and allow it to cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

7. After 5 minutes remove the lead and add 1 tbsp grated or crushed jaggery and mix it well.

How to make beetroot Sabzi

8. When sabzi looks dry switch off the flame and transfer beetroot sabzi in bowl and garnish with green chilly.
