Hot chocolate is a chocolate-based hot beverage served with whipped cream on top. This smooth and creamy hot chocolate recipe is prepared by using full cream milk, dark chocolate, cocoa powder, and whipped cream.

Ingredients
1¼ cup full cream milk
1 teaspoon cocoa powder
1 teaspoon sugar or as per your taste
¼ cup Dark chocolate
½ cup whipping cream
Preparation
1. Chop the dark compound chocolate into thin pieces. Approximately ¼ cup chopped chocolate required.
2. Take ½ cup chilled whipping cream in a chilled bowl. Here I am using sweet whipping cream so no need to add sugar. But if you use unsweetened cream, add 1 tablespoon powdered sugar.
3. Whisk the whipping cream.
4. Keep whisking until it looks thick and turns into a stiff peak.
How to make Hot Chocolate
1. Heat 1 ¼ cup milk on a medium flame.
2. Add 1 teaspoon of sugar.
3. Also, add 1 teaspoon cocoa powder.
4. Continuously whisk the milk until cocoa powder gets dissolved.
5. Now add ¼ cup chopped chocolate and mix well.
6. Whisk and boil the milk till chocolate melts and then switch off the flame.
7. Lastly, pour hot chocolate into a cup. Top with 1 or 2 teaspoons whipped cream and some chopped chocolate.
Suggestions
1. Use full cream milk for making smooth and creamy hot chocolate.
2. Always use chilled cream for whipping.
