Step 1

Heat the pan with 3 tablespoons of ghee.

Add almond and cashew nut and fry them till they turn golden and remove them from pan.

Add grated or mashed potato in ghee and mix it very well.

Stir continuously to avoid potato sticking to the pan.

After 2 minutes add ¾ cup milk and stir continuously till potato absorb all the milk in it.

After that add ¾ cup sugar and mix well. You can add more or less sugar as per your taste.

Stir until it looks glossy and thickens slightly.

Add fried cashew and almond.

Lastly, add ¼ teaspoon cardamom powder and mix it well.

Vrat Special Aloo Halwa is ready to serve. Garnish with almond.
